| Kansas City, MO. KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Effective May 1, 2026, Kansas City Life Insurance Company has promoted James Bixby to Senior Vice President, Life Administration. Bixby was formerly Vice President, New Business Operations at Kansas City Life. He first joined the Company in 2001 as a seasonal associate in the Facilities Services Department. Bixby holds a bachelor of science degree from Columbia College, and following his college graduation in 2005, he joined the Company full-time as a claims examiner. During his 21 years with the Company, Bixby has served in various capacities in the Underwriting, New Business, and Operations areas of both Kansas City Life and Old American Insurance Company.
