Kansas City Life Insurance Company, a recognized leader in the insurance industry, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our IT department. The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Advanced proficiency in software applications and systems; 4 years' experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or Java.
  • In-depth understanding of systems analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating clear understanding and collaboration.
  • Proven track record of identifying complex issues and proposing effective, innovative solutions.
  • Strong capability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also taking initiative as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly and adapt to new technologies and methodologies, driving continuous improvement.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.
    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Requirements Gathering: Facilitate efforts to engage with stakeholders to gather and document extensive business requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of user needs and expectations.
  • System Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and applications to identify oppo1tunities for enhancement, proposing and advocating for innovative solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Documentation: Develop, maintain, and oversee detailed documentation of system specifications, user guides, and process flows to promote knowledge sharing and ensure future maintenance.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Play a key role in rigorous testing of applications and systems, ensuring they meet functional requirements and comply with quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to drive the successful implementation of software solutions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • User Support: Provide expert-level technical support and training to users, effectively addressing complex issues or questions related to system functionality and usability.
  • Continuous Learning: Proactively stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in application systems analysis, enhancing personal expertise and contributing to team knowledge.
  • Adhere to Best Practices: Champion and implement established methodologies and best practices to ensure the quality, security, and performance of applications and systems.
