Group Sales Manager
Kansas City Life Insurance Company, a recognized leader in the insurance industry, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our Group department. The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Three or more years of successful group sales experience meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employee benefits marketplace; knowledge of KCL group products preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • High energy, self-starter who is well-organized and able to set and meet priorities
  • Professional designations preferred (CEBS)
  • Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.
    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Contribute to new group premium production and increase in-force premium by successfully managing an assigned sales territory and achieving sales goals.
  • Increase awareness of group products through the education of general agents, brokers and consultants and identify and cultivate new general agents and brokers in order to generate increased proposal activity, while maintaining and expanding existing general agent, broker and consultant client relationships.
  • Provide leadership role in mentoring less experienced reps and/or periodically lead sales training classes
  • Contribute to the development of new group products and improvement of current products through the investigation and awareness of product changes in the marketplace
